Jumpstart Your Degree
You can begin taking courses in the Adult Degree Program before being admitted to Cal Poly.
Through the ADP's Jump Start option, you can earn up to 36 units of credit before you even apply for official admission. All courses successfully completed will count toward the total 180 units needed for graduation.
This is a great option if you:
- Missed the application deadline
- Need to complete required courses for admission
- Just want to sample returning to the college classroom
Registration is easy. When the schedule of classes for the upcoming term is posted on the ADP website, simply click on the selected Register On-line link and follow the directions.
Students taking courses through the Jump Start program are not considered matriculated into a degree program at Cal Poly and are thus ineligible for financial aid until matriculated. If you are interested in applying for an Osher Reentry Scholarship or other types of financial aid, you must apply and be admitted to the Adult Degree Program.
